Got too many pairs of boots and skis in the garage? Looking for the next size up for the little racer? Then post it up on the site. Give a brief description of what your selling/wanting, price, and contact information and you might find out that someone has what you need or needs what you have.
On Friday, September 10, we need to provide 10 club parents to set up the community registration day at the Leduc Recreation Center. This volunteer commitment will start at noon, and should take about an hour. Please email rob.sharratt@49northlubricants.com if you can attend.
Rabbit Hill Dryland Training Program
Dryland training has several purposes – general fitness, sport specific strength and flexibility, balance and coordination skills, team building, and of course fun times. As the purpose and athlete needs are different depending on program intensity and athlete growth and development level, the RHSC dryland programs are tailored and unique for our different programs. While specific details on each program will be communicated from your coordinator over the coming weeks, here is the high level.
NEW CLUB MEMBERS: Your athletes can start dryland training before your full club registration, but you need to sign a waiver. Rhonda, our club registrar, will be on hand and will have waivers available on September 2 and September 4. Please make sure this is taken care of BEFORE your athlete begins training.
- K2 Provincial and JR Provincial (FIS) have started and details have been communicated.
- Regional (all levels) & K1 Provincial will start with Fitness testing on September 2nd (for more details contact your coordinator)
- The Nancy Greene program will start on Saturday September 4th, 10 am at the Kinsmen Sport Centre – meeting spot is on the East side of the tennis courts.
Like our on- hill programs, dryland training will be Saturday mornings, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. On Saturday mornings, all programs meet at the same place, same time. Evening training will vary by program to meet the specific athlete needs. Effort will be made to have multiple programs at the same place wherever possible.
K1 and up is 3 times/week, Nancy Greene 9 & 10 year olds – 2 times/week and the regular Nancy Greene program is Saturday mornings only. As the weather turns colder and the evenings shorter the evening activities will be moved inside. Inside activities are still being planned and booked but are may include gymnastics, rock climbing, gymnasium activities, and swimming.
