Welcome to Rabbit Hill Ski Club!!
Rabbit Hill Ski Club started in 1978 and is still running strong today! We are part of a growing youth ski community in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.
Skiing is a sport, not just a recreation! People of all ages can benefit from skiing as a sport. With the NGSL ages, racing is optional but they all get the bug very quickly.
Rabbit Hill Ski Club Goals
Rabbit Hill Ski Club is a parent run, family oriented ski racing club, that endorses the mission statements of the Alberta Alpine Asssociation and commits to the following goals:
- Develop in all members a love of the sport of Alpine skiing, a commitment to safety, and the spirit of sportsmanship.
- Develop in all skiers a respect for self and encourage personal growth and self fullfilment.
- Provide the opportunity for skiers at all levels of ability to develop Alpine racing skills in an enjoyable team environment.
- Provide an effective, yet affordable Alpine racing program that gives all skiers the opportunity to use all Alpine racing skill to the best of their abilities in competition.
Rabbit Hill Ski Club Benefits
- Outdoor, organized winter sport for children. We ski to a -25C cutoff. It’s the parents that get cold.
- Coaching entry level happens at Rabbit Hill. Therefore, if you have more than one child of different ages, you still go to one location each week.
- Older children (K1 and up) move to mountain skiing which includes weekend trips that are very developmental. They cook meals, tune and manage their own equipment, and train in a coach/chaperone environment.
