Nancy Greene

The Rabbit Hill Nancy Greene Program is foundation for ski racing and lifelong enjoyment of the great sport of alpine skiing. This program is focused on fun and ski development. Youngsters are grouped by age and ability with coaches. The program content focuses on the Alpine Canada Long Term Athlete Development Model (AIM2WIN) and the Husky Snow Stars Program. The Husky Snow Stars Program is used with the Nancy Greene program to track a child’s progress with skills and abilities.

Children have the opportunity to ski on formal courses as part of this experience and learn about the “sport” of skiing while they develop new friends, individual confidence, and physical skills.

All of our coaches are trained by the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation and most are Rabbit Hill Alumni. Training is from one to three times per week, depending on athlete/family commitment. There are approximately 5 local races and everyone looks forward to the Jasper Junior Olympics (JJO) held in late February or early March at Marmot Basin. All are eligible for the JJO and it is not to be missed. Dryland training (physical conditioning), an optional component, begins in September and helps get the skiers physically ready to get the most out of their training time on the hill.

We offer three Nancy Greene Entry Level programs:

  • 4 hours per week Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • 6 hours per week Saturday & Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
  • 8 hours per week Saturday, Tuesday & Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30

Rabbit Hill Ski Club operates out of our own training facility at the base of the T-Bar at Rabbit Hill Snow Resort. For more information on our club and the Nancy Greene program, please contact our Nancy Greene Coordinator
