K1 Provincial (11 – 12 years old)
The Kinder 1 (K1) provincial program is for children 11-12 years old whose focus years that builds on the skill development of Nancy Greene as the athletes grow and become more competitive in their attitudes. The K1 Provincial program primarily trains at Rabbit Hill but also extensively at Marmot Basin and in the Bow Valley. At this level, athletes continue to travel and stay with parents. These athletes compete in the Alberta Alpine Provincial K1 race series with competitions across the province.
Dryland training (optional for K1) runs from September to November three times a week. The training focuses on physical conditioning and athletic skills required for success on the ski hill.
