Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

RHSC is hosting the Alpine Events for the Special Olympics on February 12th and 13th, 2011. This is clearly a privilege to be able to participate in this event, give back to our sport, and to support a group of athletes
that deserve a well run event!
We have several of the Chief roles filled at this point but we are hoping to get a good response for this event with respect to volunteer staffing. Unlike a typical Alpine Event with 200 competitors and lots of parents
available to help out, this event has 68 competitors and parents that are already helping. Therefore, we need lots of our club members with Level 1′s to pitch in !
The event runs across Saturday and Sunday but overlaps with the Sunridge event in Edmonton and an out of town K2 event. So please check your calendars.
Our Volunteer Coordinator for this event is Trixi Pugh. Please reply to Trixi directly with respect to positions. No guarantees because we expect a great response, so get your name in early!
Attached is the initial volunteer listing for reference….Special Olympics Volunteer Positions
Thanks everyone!

9:00 AM Immediately after kids start training
Course will be held in the office portion of the club house.
Please forward your interest to attend to Rob at rob.sharratt@49northlubricants.com
Level 1 Officials course is required to volunteer inside the fence at any race. It is also a great way to better understand the processes involved to hold a race.
At least one parent from each family needs to be Level 1 certified.
Thanks

It’s that time of year again when we get to start training to stay ahead of the kids, beat your buddy or just get out for one night with your friends and to get ready for those Masters races that we will be running throughout the season. We currently have 3 races planned for anyone who wants to participate as well as our usual Monday Night wind up race and party. We will be starting this Monday, December 6 at 7:00 PM.
The cost will again be $175 for the season. I would appreciate it if you pay the first day you are out there so I can get the finances out of the way for the season. All funds from this program go directly to the Rabbit Hill Ski Club to help keep the cost of racing affordable for the athletes. In exchange, we get to use their equipment at no cost.
Dryland training will commence at 6:45 PM and will involve hand shaking and putting on boots.
Hope to see you out there.
